Portal User Guide

This user guide explains how to use the Toucan Collect portal to generate and manage your campaign QR codes.

Logging In

  • Log in to the Toucan Collect Panel using your sign-up credentials.

  • From the Merchant Dashboard, select Toucan Collect under the 'Toucan' heading.

3. Create Campaign

  • Click on 'New Campaign' to start setting up your campaign.

4. Campaign Setup

  • Campaign Name: Enter a name for your campaign (e.g., "Charity Bake Sale").

  • Active Toggle: Ensure the toggle is set to green to activate the campaign.

  • Campaign Description: Provide a description for your campaign (this will appear in the app, but not on the Donation Page preview).

  • Press 'Next'.

5. Goals & Amounts

  • Donation Amounts: Enter donation amounts (whole numbers). Press TAB or ENTER to move between entries. The preview will update accordingly.

  • Choose Amount: Enable this if you want to allow donors to select their own donation amount.

  • Currency Code: Select the currency.

  • Goal: Set a target goal for the campaign.

  • Press 'Next'.

6. Branding

  • Colors: Choose primary and secondary colors for your campaign. Use contrasting colors for better visibility.

  • Logo: Upload your organisation's logo.

  • Background: Upload a background image.

  • The previewer will update as you make changes to help you visualise the final design.

  • Press 'Next'.


7. Confirm

  • Review Confirmation Page: Ensure all the campaign details are correct.

  • Create New Campaign: Once reviewed, click 'Create New Campaign' to save and finalise it.

  1. Sharing the Campaign:

  • QR Code and Activation Link: After creating the campaign, you can download the QR code and copy the activation link.

  • Sharing: These can be shared with your fundraisers, volunteers, and employees, who can then use them to join the campaign in the Toucan Collect app.

  • Download the QR Code: Click on the QR code to download it to your device. This file can be attached to emails or literature.

  • Now that your campaign is saved, you can download the QR code and copy the Activation link to share with your fundraisers.

  • If you need to make changes, click the blue "Edit" button to modify your campaign details.

  • View All Campaigns: Click on the 'Campaign' header to see a list of all your campaigns.

  • Live Campaign Limit: Note that only one campaign can be active per fundraiser's device at a time, but you can share different QR codes for different campaigns.

  • Deleting Campaigns: If needed, you can delete campaigns by selecting the campaign, pressing 'Bulk Actions,' and choosing 'Delete selected.' Be careful when deleting, as it will remove the campaign from your fundraisers' devices.

  1. Campaign Overview Page:

This is where you will see the full list of your campaigns.

  • Goal: The fundraising target for the campaign.

  • Raise: The amount raised so far.

  • Icons:

    • QR icon: For downloading the QR code.

    • View icon: For checking the campaign's details.

    • Edit icon: For editing campaign details.
