Toucan Cash is integrated with Toucan Collect

Toucan Cash is a specialised solution for managing cash donations, allowing charities and fundraisers to easily handle physical contributions. Available as a standalone service or integrated with Toucan Collect, it works seamlessly with major retail networks such as PayPoint, Payzone and the Post Office.


Getting started

1. Download the Toucan Collect App from the App Store.

2. Create a Fundraiser Account

If you already have a signed up for Toucan Collect via Our Portal you can skip this set and login using those details.

3. Verify your email address

An email will be sent to your address with a link to verify your email address. You can open your mailbox from by clicking the Open Mail button on the Toucan Collect app.

4. Logging in

When a user logs in for the first time, they will be asked if they want to use set up FaceID for faster access to their account.

The user has the option to use FaceID or continue logging in by username and password.

5. Toucan Collect App - home screen

a. Once a user has logged into the Toucan Collect app for the first time they will be presented with the home screen. Before a fundraiser can start using Toucan Collect, they need to first Join a campaign.

b. Click on the large square QR code Icon. This presents the user with the QR code scanner screen. Press Allow Camera access if prompted.

Only when the QR code scanner is open, can the fundraiser scan the QR code they have been given by their charity to link their Toucan Collect device to the charities campaign. If you have not been given a QR code by your charity, please contact them directly to obtain this.

Both the Toucan Collect and Toucan Cash service will only work when a fundraiser has linked their device to a charities active fundraising campaign.

c. If you are unable to scan the QR Code you have the option to enter the QR code manually by pressing the Enter QR Code button.

d. Once you have scanned or entered your QR Code, you will be presented with the charity's campaign page. You need to confirm this is the correct campaign you wish to join by pressing Join The Campaign.


6. You are ready to start depositing!

a. Navigate back to the home screen.

b. You will see that you have an active campaign linked to your account.


7. Starting a Deposit

a. To begin, tap the Cash icon on the home screen.

b. You will then be presented with three options:

  • Deposit Cash

  • Deposit History (look up past deposits by date)

  • Find a Deposit Location (search for locations near you)

c. Tap Deposit Cash to get started.

d. Enter the amount you'd like to deposit.

e. Add a reference—this could be your name, a cash collection bucket reference, or anything that helps you track it later.

f. Tap Deposit.

g. A barcode will be generated—this is what you'll show the teller to complete your cash donation. Important: Double-check that both the amount and the reference are correct before proceeding. If you need to make any changes, just tap Edit to update the details.

h. Present the barcode to the teller for scanning. Once the deposit is completed, tap Confirm.

i. Want to keep a copy of your receipt? Tap Photo Receipt to upload and store it in the app.

j. When you’re all done, hit Done.

k. You can now view this deposit anytime in your Deposit History.
