Introduction

This user guide has been written to help you use our Payter contactless devices.

Contactless Donation terminals use the same familiar technology as contactless Chip & PIN machines. They are easy to use, secure, and cater for today's cashless society. Furthermore, there's no need to empty the boxes or visit the bank.

We have worked closely with a number of partners to develop the devices and they have been designed to last up to 8 hours off a single charge, be comfortable to hold and easy and quick to use.

Each device can accept donations between £1.00 – £100.00 (€1.00 - €100.00) however, the minimum we have seen used is £3.00 from any contactless Visa, MasterCard or American credit/debit card.

The average donation is £6.00 and charities that default to a larger default donation tend to raise more money. Donations can also be accepted through Apple Pay, Samsung and Google Pay, as long as the donor’s bank account is linked to a Visa or MasterCard debit card.
